When I first learned about the raw food diet, it took me years to figure out how to do it properly. Then it took me even more years &#8211; making mistakes and compromising my health &#8211; until I started experiencing the benefits I was looking for from the start! </p>
<p>Let&#8217;s face it, if you&#8217;re going to bother changing your diet at all, there&#8217;s got to be a reason for doing it. I would bet you want to improve<span id="more-35"></span> your health and energy, right? </p>
<p>But why take years to get those results, when you can get them in months or even weeks? Here are some of the things that I&#8217;ve found can help you get faster results from your raw food diet. </p>
<p>1. Incorporate Fitness</p>
<p>It&#8217;s interesting to note that even though a person may be fit but unhealthy (think of all the athletes who died of a heart attack!), it&#8217;s *not* possible to be healthy without being fit. </p>
<p>Until you reach the point where your body fat is at an optimal level and your fitness &#8220;above average&#8221;, you probably won&#8217;t get all the results you&#8217;re looking for even with an ideal diet. </p>
<p>Fit people not only digest better, the entire process of nutrition is improved with improved fitness. This means assimilation will be better, blood sugar will be more under control, and much more besides. </p>
<p>To start improving your fitness, you have to identify your areas of weakness and work on improving these first. We explain how to do this in the Perfect Health Program and we put it into action in our 30-Day Body Enlightenment System. </p>
<p>2. Address Emotional Issues </p>
<p>Just like fitness, your emotions are an integral part of your nutrition. You&#8217;ve probably had the experience of hearing a piece of bad news and suddenly losing your appetite. This shows that emotions are an integral part of how your body processes food. It&#8217;s an essential part of your health. </p>
<p>Often people jump into a raw-food diet, hoping that it will help them &#8220;clear emotional problems&#8221;, when in fact it puts these problems right in their face and they can&#8217;t deal with it! </p>
<p>Let&#8217;s face the fact that most people eat for emotional reasons, most of the time. It&#8217;s really easy to do so with heavily processed or fatty foods, because these foods literally &#8220;drug&#8221; us and &#8220;numb&#8221; our feelings. </p>
<p>With raw foods, it&#8217;s harder to eat emotionally. That&#8217;s why you don&#8217;t see lonely overweight people eating buckets of apples to &#8220;comfort&#8221; their feelings. Instead, they do it with a pint of ice-cream! </p>
<p>Be aware and ready to feel and face your emotions. Equip yourself with whatever tools are necessary to get over emotional baggage &#8211; including self-improvement seminars, tapes, and group support. </p>
<p>3. Cleanse</p>
<p>One of the best ways to accelerate your health success is to go on some sort of cleanse, such as the Green Cleanse or the one included in the Body Enlightenment System. </p>
<p>A cleanse should be easy to do, while giving you results in terms of increased energy, weight *release* (if necessary), and increased vitality and health. </p>
<p>My favorite cleanses are:</p>
<p>- Green Cleanse: consuming only green smoothies and fruit for 5 to 10 days or longer. </p>
<p>- Fruit Cleanse: consuming only mono meals of fruit for 3 to 7 days or longer. </p>
<p>- Low Fat Cleanse: consuming only fruits and vegetables without any fat (avocados, oils, etc.) for 3 to 7 days or longer. </p>
<p>While it&#8217;s possible to do a cleanse on your own, it&#8217;s best if you have someone to coach and support you in the process. </p>
<p>4. Find Raw Friends</p>
<p>Feeling alone and isolated can kill your success with the raw diet! It&#8217;s very important to find at least one &#8220;buddy&#8221; who can support and encourage you on this path. </p>
<p>Now with the Internet, it&#8217;s possible to connect with more people than ever. In our different programs (such as the Body Enlightenment System), we have seen the value of offering phone coaching and support, as well as discussion forum support. </p>
<p>Connect with other raw-food enthusiasts using available resources, such as local potlucks, teleseminars and phone coaching, coaching programs and discussion forums. </p>
<p>5. Get a Coach and a System</p>
<p>Besides lack of social support, the reason why most people don&#8217;t succeed with a raw-food program is that they don&#8217;t have anybody coaching them personally and showing them a system that works for incorporating all of the different elements of a healthy lifestyle. </p>
<p>Unless you think you can do it on your own, you need someone to show you a system that works! </p>
<p>No matter what the coach and system you choose for yourself, you have to make sure that:</p>
<p>- You find a supportive and non-judgmental coaching environment, yet one that challenges you enough to keep improving. </p>
<p>- You have enough quality tools and easy-to-use systems to make progress with your health, fitness and diet. </p>
<p>- The support you get is *constant* or *daily*, not just occasional. </p>
<p>- The program or coach you choose has a track record of success and lots of experience in the field. </p>
<p>Make no mistake about it, you can either take 2 months to put all of the pieces of a healthy raw lifestyle together, or you can take 2 years or 20 years! Do yourself a favor and choose the shortest route to success. </p>

<p>Whether you&#8217;re a raw foodist, on a partially raw food diet, raw food vegan, vegan, vegetarian or cooked food eater, this salsa recipe is one of the best I&#8217;ve served. If you&#8217;re looking for a simple mango salsa recipe, I developed this basic mango salsa recipe and add cucumbers to it for a great twist. This healthy raw recipe is especially good if you have plenty of leftover cucumbers from your garden<span id="more-34"></span> or containers and are looking for a good way to put them to use.</p>
<p>Salsa can be used in many ways with other foods or just serving it alone. Salsa is one of my favorite raw food recipes. I have served it many times as a side dish and as a topping on many raw food recipes. It can be used as a topping on nori rolls, flax crackers and a variety of raw food dishes, of course it can be used as an accompaniment to many cooked food recipes also.</p>
<p>For this recipe you can easily leave out the cucumber and serve as mango salsa. But the addition of the cucumber makes it a great dish. You can also try it with lemon cucumbers. Fresh mangoes are best, but it you&#8217;re unable to get them, Trader Joe&#8217;s stores among others carry frozen mango chunks and you can use them instead, thaw them first. It won&#8217;t be quite as good though. Organic ingredients are always best so use them if you can.</p>
<p>Ingredients: cucumbers, mangoes, lime juice, orange juice, red onion, mint leaves are optional and sun-dried sea salt. Preparation time about 10 minutes. Equipment: mixing bowl, sharp knife for dicing and citrus juicer.</p>
<p>Use about half of an English cucumber or equivalent measure for other varieties. Finely dice it. Toss in a mixing bowl. Use 2 mangoes without the peels. I cut them by slicing off two sides around the pit and then cutting off the remaining parts. Finely dice the mangoes right in the peel and place in the bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice and one-third cup freshly squeezed orange juice &#8211; about one half of an orange depending on the size but measure carefully. Finely chop a small red onion and add it to the bowl. Then if you have fresh mint leaves on hand use about half a bunch to your taste. Mint can be omitted. Add one-half teaspoon of sun-dried sea salt. Mix it all together. You want to make sure to have finely diced the cucumbers and mangoes.</p>
<p>Authentic Mexican salsa recipes usually use tomatoes, garlic, cilantro and chilies. But this sweet salsa mango works well with cucumbers and if you love a sweet salsa this is a good and healthy raw recipe to try whether you&#8217;re on a raw food diet or not.</p>

<p>Rachel Ray is perhaps the most glamorous name in the field of cooking. She is known for her fast, healthy &#038; easy recipes. Also, all the ingredients in her recipes can be found in the local department stores. She has also devised several lasagna recipes. Roasted Vegetable Lasagna is a low fat vegetarian lasagna recipe recommended by Rachel Ray.</p>
<p>The ingredients of Lasagna Recipe:</p>
<p>Eggplant : 1 pound. It<span id="more-33"></span> has to be sliced in to rounds of 1/4 inches.<br />
<br />Medium fresh mushrooms : 1/2 pound. It has to be cut in to slices of 1/4 inch each.<br />
<br />Zucchini : 3 small. These have to be cut lengthwise in to slices of 1/4 inch.<br />
<br />Sweet red pepper : 2. Cut it lengthwise in to 6 pieces each.<br />
<br />Olive oil : 3 table spoons.<br />
<br />Garlic : 1 clove. Mince it.<br />
<br />Salt : 1 tea spoon.<br />
<br />Pepper : 1/2 tea spoon.<br />
<br />Reduced fat ricotta cheese : 1 container or 15 ounce.<br />
<br />Grated Parmesan cheese : 1/4 cup.<br />
<br />Egg substitute : 1/4 cup.<br />
<br />Meatless spaghetti sauce : 26 ounce or 1 jar.<br />
<br />Lasagna noodles : 12 (no-boil).<br />
<br />Part skim mozzarella cheese : 2 cups (shredded).<br />
<br />Fresh basil : 3 table spoons (minced).</p>
<p>Procedure to prepare Rachel Ray Lasagna Recipe</p>
<p>&#183; 15 inches x 10 inches x 1 inch baking pans &#8211; coat 2 of these with non stick cooking spray.<br />
<br />Now place the eggplant &#038; mushrooms on one of the prepared pans.<br />
<br />On the second one, place zucchini &#038; sweet red pepper.<br />
<br />Combine these with oil &#038; garlic.<br />
<br />Next, brush over both the sides of the vegetables.<br />
<br />Sprinkle these with salt &#038; pepper.<br />
<br />Bake these uncovered at around 400 degrees F for around 15 minutes.<br />
<br />Turn the vegetables over.<br />
<br />Bake these for another 15 minutes.<br />
<br />Now remove the eggplant &#038; mushrooms.<br />
<br />Bake the zucchini &#038; red pepper for around 5-10 minutes. Their edges must get brown.</p>
<p>&#183; Take a bowl and in it mix ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese &#038; egg substitute.<br />
<br />Now take a 13 inches x 9 inches x 2 inches baking dish coated with the non stick cooking spray.<br />
<br />In it place 1/4 cup of pasta sauce. Layer it with 4 lasagna noodles. The noodles would slightly overlap slightly.<br />
<br />Also add half of the ricotta cheese mixture, half of the vegetables, the third part of pasta sauce and around 2/3 cup of the mozzarella cheese on this layer.<br />
<br />Also sprinkle half of the basil.<br />
<br />Repeat the layers. Top it with all the remaining noodles &#038; pasta sauce.</p>
<p>&#183; Now cover it and bake it at the temperature of 350 degrees F for around 40 minutes. Uncover it and sprinkle all the remaining cheese. Bake it again for 5 to 10 minutes. The edges must become bubbly &#038; the cheese must melt down. Let this stand for around 10 minutes just before cutting.</p>
