Looking to learn more about raw food living? This shows how to enjoy a natural and healthier lifestyle.

When exactly did people begin to cook the foods they ate? Some people say a couple of million years ago and others believe 10,000 years ago. The consumption of natural raw food makes it easier for the body to digest and you will feel the difference in energy levels. Perhaps this is why this type of raw food living is being emphasized for natural healing and a healthier life style.

What Types of Vegetables are Good for You?

Fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds are all foods that can be eaten raw and are the ultimate way of keeping the body functioning at top performance levels. There are many vegetables on your raw food list that will provide the necessary nutrients you need, but leafy green vegetables such as lettuce are far better for the body than most others. Any type of lettuce – romaine, iceberg, Boston, green leaf – is easy to digest and low in calories. They are high in minerals and only have a minute amount of fatty acids.

Celery is another vegetable that the body digests very well. The balance of the body’s electrolytes is governed by sodium and mineral potassium. Celery contains the essential nutrients that are beneficial for helping the body to maintain the correct fluid balance within cells.

*Raw food living starts with great recipes. For terrific recipes, CLICK HERE*!

What Types of Fruits Should You Eat?

Fruits are another ideal natural raw food. Bananas are one fruit that is considered excellent for providing energy. Fruit contains natural sugars. They also contain potassium, another key to keeping electrolytes performing at top levels. Containing vitamins that can be found nowhere else, fruit does not cause problems that many people are prone to such as cancer.

Fruits can be eaten in as much or as little as you need to feel full. There are no restrictions when it comes to eating fruit. You really do not need a list of all the healthy fruits. They are virtually all excellent foods for eating on a daily basis. You will also notice a change in the amount of energy you are feeling.

Natural raw food such as fruits will allow you to lose weight, feel better and increase the stamina you need for your daily lifestyle. Fruit can be gone from the body in approximately an hour and sometimes as little as half an hour. There is no better way to get your body into the shape you desire it to be in than to eat all natural fruits, vegetables and even nuts and seeds.

The nuts and seeds should be kept to a minimum since they are from 55 to 90% fat. They should not compromise more than 10% of the fat in your diet. They are tasty and if you are cutting back on all cooked foods, this can be a treat to enhance the natural raw food you are eating.

Eating healthy means raw, rip and fresh foods. The basics of a natural raw food diet should be comprised of fruit. The abundance of vegetables and a very limited amount of fat will round out a diet that will keep you healthy and energized. The best rule of thumb for remembering this raw food living is the 80/10/10 – 80% carbs, 10% proteins and no more than 10% fats. *Raw Food Living Starts With Great Meals.
What is on your raw food list? Create more than salads and fruit plates using raw foods.

I would imagine the first thing that would pop into your mind when purchasing raw foods, would be the preparations for a salad. While this is certainly a good idea – leafy green vegetables are terrific raw foods – there are many more choices that you probably would not think of for your shopping list.

Shopping With Your Raw Food List

When shopping for raw foods, one of the best places to visit is a farmer’s market. Allowing you to get the freshest produce, short of growing your own and picking it, this is the next best thing. Most farmers’ markets bring in fresh picked produce on a daily basis. The fruits and vegetables have not been refrigerated which causes the beneficial aspects to start to diminish.

When you purchase produce from your local supermarket, it has been refrigerated during shipment to keep it from going bad. This starts the process of breaking down beneficial vitamins and nutrients contained in the food. A health food store may be an option – at least it is certainly better than the alternative. Keep in mind, though many dried foods purchased here are cooked.

*Take your raw food list and create terrific meals with these recipes, CLICK HERE!*

When shopping for the raw foods you will be using, fresh sprouts should be on your list. As a matter of fact, growing different types of sprouts can be done on your own and you can pick them for use while they are still growing. Nuts and seeds are also a great raw food. Remember to purchase nuts that are still in the shell.

Coconuts are an excellent raw food. Containing electrolytes, they are great for providing calcium and fat for your diet. The best way to ensure you are getting dried foods that have not been cooked is to dry them yourself by sun drying them. The ones purchased in nutrition stores have been dried at over 200 degrees. This actually means they are being cooked. The temperature for food to be considered raw foods are 118 degrees and under.

Dates are a sun-dried product if you buy the right ones. You should purchase organic dates as they are dried correctly. The same holds true for other fruits that you may purchase for the raw food diet. The use of dried tomatoes will also depend on whether they are dried at a high temperature. Anyway you look at it, when heat is applied it is cooked. The natural effects of sun drying are not nearly as harmful.

Seaweeds are another common raw food used by many. They are normally sun dried. This could include sea lettuce, laver, dulse, nori and kombu. Purchasing these from an overseas business may mean they were not sun dried. It is hard to know for sure because this is not stated on the packages. They often are dried by roasting.

Green powders can be used when they are not processed with heat. Some of these would be barley green, blue green algae and wheat grass. The sweetener of choice for raw food diets is raw honey. This type that has propolis and pollen are the best. It is hard to eat without salt, but instead of using the regular type, try using sea salt instead. Using common sense when undertaking the raw food diet will guide you far better than any other method.

What is my favorite raw organic superfoods? That is a tough question. There are just a lot of raw organic superfoods that I really don’t know which is my favorite. And I have to choose one? Can I choose three? Okay, I won’t obey you, I will choose three. Got it?

If I were to choose my three favorite raw organic superfoods, this would be it. First would be Golden Inca Berries. These berries are high in phosphorus and protein. It also has got bioflavonoids which is a good source for an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antiviral properties. It is also easy to take as it can be eaten like a snack or mixed with drinks and salads.

Then another favorite of mine is Tibetan Goji Berries. This other type of berries contain the most powerful probiotic in the world. It can strengthen the immune system, help curb appetite and over-eating, engender a sense of well-being and optimism, increase energy and reduce fatigue and it can also reduce the effects of free radicals in the body. They are also one of the truly great raw organic superfoods out there. Bar none.

And my last favorite raw organic superfood that is definitely not he least is Raw Cacao Nibs. Raw Cacao Nibs as a chocolate is loaded with a lot of super-nutrients. It has got magnesium, MAO inhibitors, anandamine and phenylethylamine,

Now you see my point ? Just looking at those three raw organic superfoods makes it hard for you to decide which one is your favorite. And now you are asking me to choose one. Now you see my point?
